Red Velvet Cake


Ingredients:

2 1/2 Cups Flour (All Purpose or Cake Flour)
2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Buttermilk ( Room temperature)
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Tsp White Vinegar
2 Eggs
1 1/4 Cup heavy Cream (Cold)
2 Cups cream cheese
1/2 Cup Butter 
1-2 Tbsp Red food Coloring
2 Tbsp Vanilla Extract ( For Frosting )
1 1/2 Cup Powder Sugar
1 Tsp vanilla

Preparation:

In a large mixing bowl sieve flour then add cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, combined together and put it a side for later.

In a separate large bowl beat butter and sugar until its smooth then add egg one at a time, beating until its combined. Now go a head and add the oil, vinegar, vanilla extract, buttermilk and mix until its combined.

Now gradually add the dry ingredients  and mix after each addition until well combined then add red food coloring and mix.

Now grease baking pan with little butter and then dust it with little flour then pour batter into round baking
pan. Bake this cake on 350 degrees for 35-40 mins, then use toothpick to test the cake, once it came out clean its done.

Note: Cool cake for 10 mins then release it from the pan and let it cool completely.

Preparation For Frosting: In a large bowl beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beat until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl whip heavy cream to stiff peaks then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.

Decoration: Cut of the top of the cake and use it to make the cake crumbs and set it a side.
now place one cake layer with the flat side down, spread a layer of the frosting then place the second  layer of cake on top of the frosting, flat side up. Spread frosting evenly on top and sides of the cake. Use the cake crumbs to decorate the cake all over by just spatting it on the cake.

Note: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
Note: All cake ingredients should be in room temperature.
Note: Instead of buttermilk you can use regular milk and 1 tbsp vinegar and let it stand for 10-15 mins.
